Cribbage for those snowy afternoons

Cribbage for a Snowy Afternoon

We live in a Canadian province that gets it's share of snow. And even if it's not snowing, it can be bitterly cold. Sometimes it's just nicer to have to stay in and play some board games, maybe get the cribbage board out or play some old home movies.

If you haven't played Crib, or Cribbage in a while, it's great for little kids all the way up to older folks. A simple crib board is all you need. If you don't have one, they are easily available from Amazon, or other retailers. You might find one at a garage sale but if it's the middle of winter, those might be few and far between.

The only other thing you need is a standard deck of playing cards. This is a great game for teaching young children to add, take turns, win some and lose some.

You can find the full rules online but the basics are: The winner is the first person to reach 121 points on the cribbage board, through the playing of cards for points and building hands with pairs, runs and combinations. Hope you enjoy playing this game as much as we do and stay cozy!
